The album cover of the Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band” prominently features the iconic Metepec "Tree of Life," which served as an inspiration for our design concept. The vibrant and intricate ceramic design sparked the creative vision that influenced many aspects of the aesthetic and decorative elements of the architecture.

An exciting and colorful exterior featuring a thoughtful layering of diverse textures and intricate patterns serves as a metaphor for the highly complex and decorative local arts and crafts of Metepec. The design prominently features a dramatic relief made of fritted glass, which is artfully punctuated by a large, front-facing glazed picture frame that offers compelling views into a vibrant and dynamic retail environment. The corner of the building is intentionally opened to encourage easy user access and engagement, complemented by a carefully curated desert cactus garden that enhances the ambiance of the adjacent mini outdoor plaza. Additionally, the project thoughtfully incorporates various environmental characteristics and sustainable design principles and is actively seeking LEED certification to validate its commitment to ecological responsibility.
